Dance and the Music of Bach!

We are so excited to announce this exciting collaboration between ACW and the AACC dance studio led by head of the dpartment, Margaret Russell!

Professor Russell will teach musicians the basics in the baroque dance styles of some of our favorite movements including the allemande, courante, sarabande, minuet, gavotte, gigues. Dr. Shomper will then run a masterclass discussing how understanding the fundamentals of the dances can influence our musical and performance choices when playing Bach!

There is something for everyone in this event, even if you are starting your first minuet in the first Suzuki book!
